We ship locally where possible to help recipients avoid customs fees upon arrival. However, in some cases, these fees are unavoidable. While the end customer is responsible for paying customs charges, some merchants choose to reimburse their customers.
Estimating potential customs fees is challenging, as they depend not only on local laws but also on courier administration and processing fees, as well as potential storage fees if payments are delayed.
Customs payments are most common for shipments to South America, South Africa, the Middle East, Canada, Norway, the Canary Islands and Switzerland. They also apply to orders from the UK or US to the EU if you don't have an IOSS number or if the value exceeds €150.
Some locations have special requirements:
1. Canary Islands: The recipient's NIF (Número de Identificación Fiscal) or NIE (Número de Identificación Extranjero) should be included in the address field to facilitate smooth customs processing.
2. Brazil: The CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) or CNPJ (Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica) should be included in the address field. For business shipments to Brazil, you must also provide the State Tax ID and Registration State Code.
